HatPineapple Productions is a group of musicians and artists I met through a friend while in college. They had a dream that one day they would create their own variety show with skits featuring their music, and various talents of others.
I was enthusiastic about this idea, and offered to create their first logo and a web page design.
Below I show my concepts for their logo and a website, a final logo, and images of our process analyzing their current and future interests as a music group. Finally, I show pics and a video from the short puppet skit we made together!

Logo Concepts and Sketches
The HatPineapple logo comes from a drawing on a napkin by one of the friends of HatPineapple. They loved the sketch but didn’t have a vector or image of it. They had been using the hat and pineapple emoji to represent themselves online, but wanted the concepts combined in a vector illustration they could use for their website and various social media accounts.
Below are some of the sketches and vector iterations we reviewed, followed by the final logo.

Making the Dust Bunny Puppets “Dirt and Harry”

Puppet Sketches and Fabric Prototyping
HatPineapple group heard about my interest in making puppets and they were eager for me to make some puppets for them. We worked together on a skit which they could film, then add their music and voices too. This would serve as a prototype for their plans on developing short skits in the future.
My concept came from an idea I had a few years ago—dust bunnies who tell jokes while living under someone’s couch! Below are a few prototype and construction photos—which became two hairy dust bunnies (named Dirt and Harry by the guys at HatPineapple), a few pages from the skit, and finally a pilot video.
